Product Liability

A significant number of products are improperly designed and constructed, or manufacturers fail to warn consumers about hidden dangers that can cause severe injuries or death. For this reason, the Federal Government created the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Manufacturers or operators can be held liable for injuries caused by a defective product at home or in the workplace.  Consumers should be aware that they have rights which protect them from defective products and that manufacturers have a legal obligation to provide consumers with safe products.  A product is considered defective if it contains a manufacturing flaw, design defect, or inadequate warnings.

Drug recalls represent one of the more well-known classifications of defective products.  Drugs which are intended for the treatment of relatively harmless conditions may end up under investigation for causing much more serious problems.

If you or someone you know has been harmed or died as a result of using a defective product, please call the Law Offices of Christopher Ligori & Associates at 813-223-2929 for a free consultation.
